Amazing, unbelievable and yet true. The vapors rising from the Grand Prismatic Spring hang like an aerial prism above the pool. Tomorrow I travel to Yellowstone to teach a class for the Yellowstone Association Institute. I look forward to hiking to Fairy Falls where there is a view of the enormous Grand Prismatic Spring, one of the largest in the world at 370 feet diameter. I painted the prism by wetting the area above the pool and dabbed in the blues, greens, yellows and oranges while the paper was still wet.
